HOW MANY PHOTOGRAPHS WILL YOU TAKE?
I will take as many as I need to record all the important moments
and the atmosphere of the day. There will be many little scenes
captured that you wont have had time to notice.
BLACK & WHITE OR COLOUR?
I will take either or both, whichever you request. It usually works
well to have a mix as black & white has a timeless quality
and colour gives a wonderful record of a specific moment and is
lovely for children, flowers and fashions.
HOW MANY PHOTOGRAPHS WILL YOU SEND US AND HOW SOON?
I will send you at least the number stated in your chosen option
and sometimes considerably more. These will be unmarked prints
for you to keep and will be sent to you about two weeks after your
wedding day.
WILL YOU VISIT THE WEDDING VENUE?
I always visit the wedding venue in advance so that I am familiar
and at home with the setting. If it is a long way away I usually
stay overnight before the wedding.
DO YOU PREFER TO TAKE FORMAL OR REPORTAGE STYLE PHOTOGRAPHS?
Both are enjoyable but I try to take the more formal ones with
the minimum of fuss. They are often important for families and
are a lovely record to have but I don’t think they should
take up too much of your time.
DO YOU PHOTOGRAPH MORE THAN ONE WEDDING IN A WEEKEND?
No. I always give my full attention and energy to every wedding
I undertake and never photograph more than three in a month.
WHAT DO YOU DO IF IT RAINS?
Some people think it’s lucky if it rains but let’s
hope it doesn’t! It is almost always possible
to take photographs outside sometime during the day and anyway
umbrellas can be very attractive. Please check to make sure that
your venue has enough space for photography inside and we will
have a contingency plan in place for the day.
DO YOU HAVE INSURANCE?
Yes. Sarah Backhouse Photography is covered by Public Liability
and Professional Indemnity Insurance.
I DON’T FEEL AT EASE BEING PHOTOGRAPHED.
HOW DO YOU DEAL WITH THIS?
Because of the way I work, most of the time you will probably be
unaware of being photographed and will be delighted at how natural
you look. I also find that people are able to relax because we
will have met several times before the big day and feel familiar
and at ease with each other.
WILL YOU PUT OUR PHOTOGRAPHS ON YOUR WEBSITE?
Yes. A selection of photographs will be put on the site once you
have seen the first edition prints. They will be password protected
so that your family and friends can access them and order any if
they
would
like to do so.
DO YOU PROVIDE WEDDING ALBUMS?
All three options come with a leather bound album and 30 or 50
mounted first edition prints chosen from the prints I send to you.
HOW DO I BOOK YOU TO TAKE OUR WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHS?
I always like to arrange a meeting to discuss your requirements.
A deposit of £250 is required and we will both sign the booking
form as a contract between us. The balance of the fee is due two
weeks before the wedding.
